Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) – 2018

• Yukon Express Entry (YEE)
The Yukon Express Entry allows the Yukon to accept 60 additional applications for provincial nomination, apart from their annual quota of 190 applications. These 60 applicants are allowed to be selected from the Express Entry Pool of candidates. The employers in Yukon have the access to choose the applicants from Express Entry pool of IRCC (Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada), as per their enhanced allocation, if they do not find any suitable candidate from the region to fill the vacancy. The candidates selected through Yukon Express Entry (YEE) become eligible to receive ITA for PR based on the nomination they receive through employment offer from employers in Yukon.

Skilled Worker Category
This particular category has been designed to permit the Yukon Employers to sponsor the overseas workers for permanent residency in the territory of Yukon. However, the candidates being sponsored need to be employed in an occupation listed in NOC (National Occupational Classification) of Canada.
Key Requirements
To apply under this category you need to fulfill the below criteria:
• Need to have the qualification and work experience that adequately make them ready for their employment in the Yukon;
• Show minimum 1 year of relevant work experience;
• Show the proof of proficiency in English or French language;
• If you are in Canada at the time applying, you need to be lawfully residing here
• If living in Canada on a study permit, require providing the proof of study
Critical Impact Worker
This particular category has been designed to allow the employers to invite those foreign skilled workers who have considerable experience in the occupations, which are highly in demand in Yukon. The Yukon employer issues the job offer to such candidates.
Key Requirements
To apply under this category you need to fulfill the below criteria:
• Need to have the qualification and work experience that adequately make them ready for their employment in the Yukon;
• Show minimum 6 months of relevant work experience;
• Show the proof of proficiency in English or French language;
• If you are in Canada at the time applying, you need to be lawfully residing here
• If living in Canada on a study permit, require providing the proof of study
Business Nominee
This particular category is designed for the applicants with genuine business knowledge and experience, wish to commence a new business or venture or want to buy/run/ partner in an existing business in the territory of Yukon. However, the applicant required to invest the considerable amount in the proposed business activity in the territory.
Key Requirements
To apply under this category you need to fulfill the below criteria:
• Need to have at least 5 years of senior management or entrepreneurial experience in a relevant business (as proposed in the application)
• Need to have the net worth of at least $250,000, with minimum liquid assets of $150,000.
• Need to have visited the territory of Yukon in Canada at least once, and got an understanding of the territory’s business settings (During such visit, need to meet with the YNP program officer at the Business and Industry Development Branch).
• Need to show “reasonable communication skills” in English or French, i.e. good enough to run a business in the territory of Yukon
